Who: Based on some of my interviewees, being unhappy goes more out there than anyone can imagine. That it is not just people our age or near our age but younger and older people as well. Two of them said that being unhappy can affect kids and old people and not just certain ones. One of these interviewees said that their grandpa just lost his wife to health issues and he hasn't been the same ever since. They constantly have to talk him and keep in touch with him. The other three interviewees all had different answers but somewhat similar. One of them said that it is only certain people that are unhappy while another said it is the type of person you are. Some people are just unhappy in general. My last interviewee had nothing to say really. That everyone is happy and that if you're unhappy it's because you made yourself like that. When asked about the solution, everyone agreed that it would help since everyone loves dogs. But they also questioned the idea because what if it doesn't always work.
What: This need is different because it has never been done before, at least that's what the interviewees said to me. That this idea is better than most ideas that have been proven wrong at one point.
Why: I don't believe that this need is different whether you're a outsider or insider because both are looking a solution to become happier in life and not go back to be unhappy. To forget everything that has ever made them unhappy and prevent it from coming back. They want to try a new method that will help them now and in the future.
Inside the boundary Outside the boundary
People around the same age - who - Anyone that is nowhere near the age of the insiders
Try a new method that helps - what - To eliminate unhappiness once and for all
To try a new and improve method that will actually help with being unhappy (why)
Hi Hugo,
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with how one of your interviews said that being unhappy can affect any individual, regardless of age, gender, or religion. Life takes unexpected twists and turns and someone who could have been seen as a super happy could be super depressed now because loss of a loved one or failing at something. Although the idea you present something that can give emotions of happiness I don’t think it’ll be one that can give off happiness for long-term so maybe when trying to market it, a good approach would be like come join us to get a break from life with these beautiful puppies.

ReplyDeleteHi Hugo, I believe that if someone lacks of happiness he or she is not just suffering alone, also the people that is around he/she and cares will be worried and affected of the way he/she might feel. Is like if your son for example had depression, it would just break your heart to see him sad and down. I think this idea sounds really good but happiness needs a lot more than something momentary to be consistent.
